I’m just going to link to this article and video rather than post it. That way you can avoid it if you wish.

I should not be reading articles about our new youth society and especially should not be watching them talk about sex in videos. I’m not prepared to deal with it… just leave me in my Boomer Paradise… love, peace, flowers, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors… eternally 1967… before all hell broke loose.

My first goodnight kiss was when I took home my 15-year old date (I was almost 17!), a cute but very shy girl, after we had been to the movies. We had seen To Kill a Mockingbird in a hometown theater and neither of us had understood what that was about. To this day, all I recall is a white picket fence and Gregory Peck frowning a lot. It could have been a silent movie for all we cared… we were in the almost dark… together. I had had my arm around her most all evening but was afraid to touch her arm or neck. I didn’t want to make her jump or scoot away. I don’t even think she knew it was there. I held the popcorn box on my left thigh with my right hand. She reached in and ate. The movie ended. I drove her home, somewhere in the country, a house in the woods. We sat in the car for what seemed like an hour, but I’m sure must have been a minute or so. At last we turned to each other at the same time. We kissed, deeply, on the lips… good night! we both said simultaneously, as we almost jumped apart. Neither of us indicated if we had a good time or not. We were both in shock… that we were in the dark in a car together… that we had had a date… that we didn’t fully know what could happen. I watched her walk to her front door. All the lights were out in her house. We never saw each other again. I guess I lost her number and forgot her name… I truly don’t know what happened. I was in church the very next morning, just like I always had been, being yelled at and coerced by a sweating, prancing Baptist preacher. I was confused, I was on the basketball team, I had to keep my ‘A’ average. Jesus wanted me to come to heaven. I had to go away to a good college. I was too young. Only now I remember… she was hot!

For you parents, younger teens and conservative types, here’s one for you:

My comment: I’m still shocked.
