FILE THIS UNDER: PARENTING TODAY –Ever since 1994, when I edited a TV feature story for Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous about the country lugnut/star Billy Ray Cyrus and his #1 hit song, “Achy Breaky Heart”, I’ve been glad that I’m just me and not him. For many reasons. At that time, I didn’t know he had a daughter, who would have been 2 years old. Now everybody knows. Her Disney “franchise” is predicted to be worth about a $Billion dollars. Once again, I’m saying… poor Billy Ray! And where’s Momma when one is needed? Miley/Hanna is worshipped by little girls everywhere. And young boys? My prediction: the 16-year old Hanna Montana star is gonna be Trouble. And how do those ‘personal’ cell camera-phone photos keep getting on the Internet?

Obama Girls Offered Guest Roles on Hannah Montana
President-elect Barack Obama’s two young daughters have been invited to appear on Hannah Montana.
“We’re pleased that Malia and Sasha are fans and, as long as their parents say it’s OK, they are invited to the set of Hannah Montana and all Disney Channel shows, for a guest role or a visit, anytime,” the Disney Channel says in a statement.
The Disney Channel statement follows a personal invite from Billy Ray Cyrus, father of the show’s star Miley Cyrus, for Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, to take part in an episode.
“You know the Hannah Montana film comes out in April. Maybe something might happen around then,” he tells Access Hollywood.
From 1986 until 1991, Cyrus was married to Cindy Smith, with whom he co-wrote the song “Wher’m I Gonna Live?” and “Some Gave All”, which was featured on his 1992 album Some Gave All. On December 28, 1992, he married Leticia “Tish” Finley.[5][6][7] Together they have three children, daughters Miley (born as Destiny Hope), Noah Lindsey, and son Braison Chance.[6] He also has two stepchildren, Trace (born 1989) (singer/guitarist for Metro Station) and Brandi (born 1987),[6] and a son from a previous relationship, Christopher Cody (born 1992).[6]
In a 2004 interview on ABC News: ‘Primetime’, Cyrus stated that daughter Miley (conceived with Finley) and son Cody (conceived with an unidentified woman) were both born in 1992, at which time Cyrus was unmarried, and that he and Finley secretly married on December 28 of 1992.[7] The family lived on a 500-acre (2.0 km2) farm in Thompson’s Station,[6][5] outside of Nashville, Tennessee before moving to Los Angeles for the filming of Hannah Montana. Cyrus’ other daughter, Brandi had a role in a Hannah Montana episode “Yet Another Side of Me” as Customer #1.[8]

My comment: How would you manage a ‘hot ticket’ like Miley? And does anybody know where ‘Tish’ is? Hey Mom, you’re needed in LA! There’s a billion dollars and a major corporation who need you…

UPDATE: I feel much better after seeing an E! channel 1-hour documentary on Miley and her family. Billy Ray and Tish are always close at hand and seem to be managing Miley’s career very well. She is growing up fast! See my recent post of her video compilation made at radio stations, singing (with an acoustic duo) her new song “The Climb”.
